How to play Reversi

1. What is Reversi?

Reversi is played with black and white discs; each player uses one color. If you sandwich your opponent’s discs between one of your discs and another of your discs in a straight line, you flip those discs to your color. Players alternate turns, and the player with more discs on the board at the end wins.

  • If you have no legal move, you must pass.
  • There is no time limit per player.
  • Solo play is available (you play against the computer).

2. How to Play

a. Turn Order

When the game starts, turn order is set. Black moves first, White moves second.

b. Reversi Time

On your turn, place a disc where you can sandwich at least one opponent disc in a straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal); all sandwiched discs are flipped to your color. If you have no such placement, you pass and your opponent takes the turn.
